What a comprehensive check-up involves
A check-up is far more than a quick glance. We examine your teeth, gums, bite and soft tissues, and screen for things you can't see or feel yet.
We explain what we find in plain language, often on screen, so you understand your own mouth and leave knowing exactly where you stand.
Why regular check-ups are worth it
Most dental problems are painless until they're advanced. Decay, gum disease and cracks grow quietly, and by the time they hurt, treatment is bigger. Regular check-ups catch them while they're small and gentle to fix.
Catch problems early
Small issues are easier, cheaper and gentler to treat.
Prevent emergencies
Avoid painful surprises down the track.
Understand your mouth
See what's going on and how to keep it healthy.
A check-up is a good idea if…
- It's been six months (or much longer) since your last visit
- You've noticed sensitivity, bleeding gums or a rough edge
- You want to stay ahead of problems rather than react
- You're overdue and feel nervous about coming back
- You simply want peace of mind about your teeth

We show you what we see and what it means.
A clear care plan
Priorities and options, with no pressure to decide on the spot.
After your visit
There's nothing to recover from after a check-up, you can carry straight on with your day. If we spot anything, you'll leave with a clear, prioritised care plan and honest guidance, never a hard sell.
Thinking about a check-up?
“I haven’t been to the dentist in years. I was embarrassed and anxious. The team here made me feel completely at ease — no judgement, just kindness.”
Clear on cost, before anything begins
Your first visit is our Comprehensive Care Visit, one simple price of $297 with everything included, and we claim through HICAPS on the spot, so with most funds you pay only a minimal gap on the day.
Questions about check-ups
How often should I have a check-up?
For most people every six months, though we'll tailor it to you.
It's been years, will you judge me?
Never. We see this every week, you'll get a way forward, not a lecture.
Will I need X-rays?
Only when they genuinely help us see something we can't otherwise.
Does a check-up hurt?
No, it's gentle and there's rarely any discomfort.
